Union Men’s Hockey cracks National Polls

Schenectady, NY — After completing their third ECAC sweep of the season over the weekend, the Union College men’s ice hockey team has climbed their way back into one national poll while moving up three slots in another.

The team (10-3-2, 6-1-1 ECAC) posted a 7-3 win over Princeton on Friday before delivering a 5-2 come from behind victory over Quinnipiac on Saturday. The national pollsters took note, and by Monday Union found themselves up three spots at fifteen in the newest USCHO.com poll, a place they last occupied in 2014. As one of the annoying telemarketers on TV would say “but wait there’s more.”

The Dutchmen also re-appeared in the USA Hockey Magazine/USA Today poll.

This up-coming weekend they’ll look to take their fourth ECAC sweep when they take on Brown on Friday and Yale the next day. Both games are on the road, and both are scheduled to start at 7:00 p.m.
