UAlbany men’s lacrosse ranked #13 in USILA preseason coaches poll

ALBANY, N.Y. – The UAlbany men’s lacrosse team will begin the 2017 season placed at #13 in the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Coaches Poll, the organization announced on Monday.

The #13 ranking matches its placement in the Inside LacrossePreseason Face-Off Rankings.

The USILA poll is voted on by various coaches around the country. The weekly polls will begin on February 13th.

UAlbany is coming off its fourth straight America East regular season title, finishing 12-4 last year with an at-large berth into the NCAA Tournament.

UAlbany is the only team in the America East in the top-20, with Stony Brook and Vermont each receiving votes, and is the second-highest placed team in the state of New York, only below #5 Syracuse.

North Carolina, the 2016 NCAA champion, is slated at first with Maryland and Denver in order rounding out the top-3.
