Schuylerville man arrested after dog attacks deputy
MOREAU — A Schuylerville man is behind bars for allegedly failing to control his dog, which attacked an officer responding to a call Wednesday, the office of Saratoga County Sheriff Michael Zurlo said.
Shortly before 8 a.m., deputies were called to a Ferry Boulevard home for a complaint that David J. Duffany, 51, of 522 Route 32, was violating a court order of protection. Police said Duffany did not control his German shepherd which bit and jumped on the back of a responding officer.
Duffany was charged with second-degree assault, second-degree criminal contempt, and resisting arrest. He was arraigned in Moreau Town Court and sent to Saratoga County Jail in lieu of bail.
