ROUNDUP/RESULTS: Mechanicville takes Class C boys’ bowling title

Schenectady, NY — The Section II Class C boys’ bowling tournament was again a popular event at Boulevard Bowl this year, with spectators from wall to wall inside the iconic alley.

After trailing for much of the day, Mechanicville pulled ahead in the second to last game, rolling a 1,020 pin count as a team. “I had a little talk with them and told them they had to step up,” said Mechanicville head coach Ron Lafountain, in his first year with the program.

The Red Raiders routed rival Stillwater to grab the title, but in the end, they all stood together as one bowling community.
