REPORTS: Benitez to walk away from Saints

LOUDONVILLE — Siena sophomore standout Jackie Benitez has reportedly left the college after two seasons with the women’s basketball team, according to Spectrum News.

The Tobyhanna, Pennsylvania native led the Saints in scoring this season, averaging just under 17 points per game.

In 2016, she was named to the Metro Atlantic Athletic Association’s all-rookie team and achieved similar honors this year, making the first all-conference team.

Siena has yet to release a statement, but it her release has been granted and confirmed.  It’s unclear where Benitez will end up in the Fall.
