Guilderland, Niskayuna suspended in first inning

TROY — Guilderland and Niskayuna tried to play the second game of the Class AA semifinal, but rain got in the way.

They played the first three batters of the game and Guilderland grabbed a 1-0 lead in that time, but the heavy rain picked up and pulled the Niskayuna players off the field at 7:23 p.m.. The game was called for the night at 7:50 p.m. in the top of the first inning.

The game will be picked up where it left off on Friday at Joe Bruno Stadium at 2 p.m., and tickets that were purchased Thursday will be honored on Friday.
