Friday’s Sectional Boys’ Basketball scoreboard

The post-season high school boys’ basketball tournament kicked off Friday night in Class C and B. Only six of the 12 lower seed teams managed to punch their ticket out of the play-in round and into the main event. Here is a look at all of the action and what is to come next.

Class B
UPSET: No. 17 Hudson Falls- 58, No. 16 Cohoes- 56
Riley Maddison scored a team-high 18 points in the win for Hudson Falls.
The Panthers advance to take on No. 1 Schalmont at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

No. 15 Greenville- 71, No. 18 Broadalbin-Perth- 51
Next up for Greenville is No. 2 Glens Falls at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Class C
No. 16 Cambridge- 51, No. 17 Spa Catholic- 44

The Indians will now do battle at No.1 Lake George on Tuesday. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m.

No. 13 Fort Plain- 62, No. 20 Galway- 57
Troy Butler led the Hilltoppers in scoring with 14 points. The team advances to a 7 p.m. date at No. 4 Chatham on Tuesday.

UPSET: No. 18 Rensselaer- 54, No. 15 Berne-Knox- 52
Zeke Pulliam’s game-high 33 points were not enough to carry the Bulldogs into the next round.
The Rams will next face No. 2 Hoosick Falls at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

No. 14 Hadley-Luzerne- 59, No. 19 Duanesburg- 44
Danny McMahon led all scoring with 17 points. He and the rest of the Eagles will next play at No. 3 Maple Hill on Tuesday. The game is set to start at 7 p.m.
