Four found dead in Troy apartment

TROY — Four people were found dead in a basement apartment of a home at 158 Second Ave. in Troy on Tuesday, city officials confirmed to the Times Union.

The dead — all possible homicide victims —were found by the building’s property manager and police have not yet released the identities or ages of the victims.

“The deaths appear suspicious,” Troy Police Capt. Daniel DeWolf said. “It’s horrible, terrible, sad … Especially at this time of year.”

The New York State Police are aiding in the investigation.
