Jeff Fisher FIRED as Head Coach of the Los Angeles Rams
The unemployment line.
That’s where Jeff Fisher found himself Monday after the Los Angeles Rams showed the 58-year-old the door. Taking over in 2012, Fisher posted an overall record of 31-45 with the team, but Sunday’s 42-14 loss to the Atlanta Falcons was the straw the broke the camel’s back:

“Of course I will go to the games now,” Rams legend Eric Dickerson told Colin Cowherd on his show The Heard, just hours after Fisher cleaned out his office. The six-time Pro Bowler, four of wich came with the Rams, also told another LA based radio show that he’d like to see hot headed Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh named as Fisher’s replacement.
“Not about who’s caring biggest stick it’s about who’s winning. Jim Harbaugh is that guy. That is what it comes down to. He went to Michigan now they are winning. Stanford as well. That offensive line can be fixed but have to get right person in line. If they want to win people in charge have to get people in there that can win.”
Minutes after Fisher’s canning Dickerson followed Harbaugh on Twitter, per USA TODAY.
John Fassel, the team’s current special teams coordinator, has been named the interim head coach and will guide the Rams through their remaining three games of the season.
Before joining the team, then the Saint Louis Rams, Fisher spent 17 seasons with the Tennessee Titans organization. With at least one opening expected in the AFC East, don’t be surprised if in mid-January we see him take a job in one of two cities (Buffalo or East Rutherford).
