Rookies carry Cowboys over Bengals, improve to 4-1

The Cowboys-Bengals game was in my opinion, the game of the week heading into Sunday. Two powerful offense with star players, against two defenses that have serious potential.

The Cowboys stomped on the Bengals very early, and never looked back, defeating them 28-14(FINAL).

20 minutes into the game Aj Green captured his first reception, but it was already too late — the Cowboys were already on their way to a total beatdown. Dallas held a 21-0 halftime lead, in part to another strong performance from the rookies.ookie runner Ezekiel Elliott roared out to a hot start, rushing for 42 yards and a touchdown on the first drive of the game. This would set the table for absolute domination from the rookie. Finishing with 134 yards and two TD’s, Elliott averaged 8.9 yards per carry, which is something that very few runners, with a legit number of attempts has done. Elliotts most memorable run of the game came minutes into the second half when he diced up some defenders for a run good for

Rookie runner Ezekiel Elliott roared out to a hot start, rushing for 42 yards and a touchdown during the first drive of the game. This would set the table for absolute domination from the rookie. Finishing with 134 yards and two TD’s, Elliott averaged 8.9 yards per carry, which is something very few runners, with a legit number of attempts can do. Elliott’s most memorable run came just minutes into the second half when he diced up defenders for a 60-yard touchdown run, piggy backing the Cowboys to a 28-0 lead.

“Zeke is a monster, like a real-life monster,” Cowboys receiver Terrance Williams said, via the Dallas Morning News. “(For) Somebody to be that young and to come in here and run the ball like that, it makes me want to block because I know what he’s going to do. He’s going to finish or just like (Sunday), he can pop it.”

“So whenever you have a guy like that, that makes blocking fun. You’re not just going out there to block to just catch wind. Now you’re going out there to block because you have a guy who can take over a game.”

Taking the game over does not do justice for what Ezekiel Elliott did against a talented Cincinnati defense.

The second half was all Bengals though, as they made a 14 point comeback, but couldn’t get over the hump. To make matters worse, A.J. Green, a top 5 NFL receiver, only saw 4 receptions for 50 yards. He needs to be more involved if they want any chance in catching the Steelers for the top spot in the AFC North.

With the loss, the Bengals fell to 2-3 on the season, putting them in the AFC North’s third slot, behind the Steelers (4-1) and the Baltimore Ravens (3-2). The Bengals will travel to battle Tom Brady and a powerful Patriots team next week.

The Cowboys leaped right into first place in the NFC East and will travel to historic Lambeau Field to take on the Packers at 4:25p.m. on FOX. The Packers offense is finally coming along and has serious potential, but the Cowboys will be rolling on the momentum of 4 straight wins. This one has all the potential to be the game of the year up to this point.
