Rotterdam man accused of raping teen

ROTTERDAM — Town police arrested a 35-year-old man Wednesday for allegedly raping a 14-year-old girl. 

Gary F. Cherny Jr, of Amsterdam Avenue, faces first and second-degree rape charges for allegedly attacking the girl Tuesday evening. 

Cherny was arraigned in town court and remanded to the Schenectady County jail without bail.
