Siena’s Horn to transfer to North Dakota State

LOUDONVILLE — After one season with the team, Siena freshman Jordan Horn announced Tuesday his intent to transfer to North Dakota State of the Summit League. 

He had a very solid freshman year with the Saints, averaging 7.9 points and 2.4 rebounds per game. He got a reputation as a lethal three-point shooter, shooting 35% Later in the year, the St. Paul, Minnesota native started 13 games for Siena at the shooting guard position. 

“I would like to thank Siena College for giving me the opportunity to be apart of such a great community and school this past year. I would like to also thank the fans for being very supportive during my first year of college… Lastly I would like to thank North Dakota State University for believing in me and giving me a second chance after being granted my release to transfer… With that being said I am beyond blessed and excited to announce that I am going to be a Bison,” Horn said in a tweet Tuesday. “Being apart of such a great school and basketball program here at North Dakota State is truly a blessing!”

He was recruited by former Siena coach Jimmy Patsos, who resigned last month. He is now the latest in a slew of Siena players leaving, as Prince Oduro announced his commitment to Mississippi State earlier this week and Nico Clareth announced last week that he would not return to the school.
