GUILDERLAND — Residents in Guilderland’s Fort Hunter area are on high alert after a black bear, not the cute and cuddly type, was reportedly seen by several people on West Lydius Street and Fuller Station Road near its intersection with Carman Road just south of I-90, the Times Union reports.
Residents are being told to bring in bird feeders and secure garbage cans, and to avoid any bear if one is spotted.
Anyone who sees the bear is asked to call the Guilderland Police Department at (518) 356-1501.
