Man slain on Albany street corner
ALBANY, NY — A 72-year-old man was slane on a Capital City street corner on Sunday, Albany police said.
Albany Police spokesman Steve Smith told the Times Union that a man was shot near the corner of Lexington Avenue and Sherman Street around 1:00 p.m.
The victim is believed to have run one street over before collapsing and dying on an Elk Street sidewalk.
The investigation is ongoing, but police are looking at a car parked on Sherman Street at the time of the killing.
Police have not yet released the identity of the victim.
