Colorado State player and New Mexico coach get into postgame war of words
Things got tense after Saturday’s New Mexico/ColoradoState game, leading to a war of words between Rams forward Emmanuel Omogbo, and New Mexico assistant coach Terrence Rencher, as captured by Geoff Grammer of the Albuquerque Journal.

While the motivation behind the incident is unclear, it appears to have started on the court, potentially on both sides.
Grammer reported that Colorado State players talked trash about the New Mexico coaching staff during pre-game warmups. While Scout.com’s Keegan Pope reported that members of the UNM coaching staff apparently threw shade at theColorado team, saying “at least we don’t have a bunch of wife beaters on the court,” in the postgame handshake line.
I’ve confirmed that a UNM assistant coach yelled this at CSU players/staff as he walked out of the arena after the postgame handshake. pic.twitter.com/9hjTeaTE54
