Queensbury teen dies after motorcycle crash
ALBANY, NY — A Queensbury teen who was involved in a motorcycle crash over the weekend died early Thursday at Albany Medical Center, the Post-Star reports.
Matthew W. Bolz, 19, was taken to the hospital after a Saturday morning collision on West Mountain Road, the Warren County Sheriff’s Office told the Post-Star. He suffered severe internal injuries and had been on life support systems at the hospital since the crash, according to police.
Bolz, a 2015 graduate of Queensbury High School, was thrown off a 2006 Kawasaki motorcycle shortly before 9:00 a.m. on Saturday when a Dodge minivan pulled into his path at the intersection of Bronk Drive
The driver of the van, Frieda J. Garcia, 79, of Queensbury, was not hurt in the accident.
The Warren County Sheriff’s Office said that no charges had been filed in the crash and that the investigation was ongoing.
