NYSSWA releases newest state football rankings, features 13 Section II teams

On Wednesday morning, the New York State Sportswriters Association released their newest state high school football rankings heading into Week Six. The list features 13 Section II teams throughout the five classes as well as several honorable mentions. Here they are.

 

Class AA

#1: Troy, 5-0

#15: Shaker,5-0

#25 Saratoga Springs, 5-0

HM: CBA (3-2), Colonie (4-1), Shenendehowa (4-1)

 

Class A

#5 Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake, 5-0

#20 Averill Park, 4-1

HM: Amsterdam (3-2), Queensbury (3-2), South Glens Falls (3-2)

 

Class B

#1 Glens Falls, 5-0

#6 Schuylerville, 5-0

HM: Cobleskill-Richmondville (4-1)

 

Class C

#4 Mechanicville, 5-0

#12 Holy Trinity, 4-1

#15 Stillwater, 4-1

HM: Chatham (3-2), Voorheesville (4-1), Watervliet (3-2)

 

Class D

#3 Greenwich, 5-0

#5 Cambridge, 4-1
