Newest NYSSWA football rankings come out, 14 Section II teams ranked

On Wednesday morning, the New York State Sportswriters Association released their state football rankings. 14 Section II teams were ranked throughout the five classes and others were named honorable mentions. Here they are.

Class AA

#1 Troy, 6-0

#20 Saratoga Springs, 6-0

#26 Shaker, 5-1

Honorable mentions: Colonie (5-1), Shenendehowa (5-1)

 

Class A

#5 Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake, 6-0

#15 Averill Park, 5-1

Honorable mentions: Queensbury (3-3), South Glens Falls (4-2)

 

Class B

#1 Glens Falls, 6-0

#9 Schuylerville, 5-1

Honorable mentions: Cobleskill-Richmondville (5-1), Hudson Falls (4-2)

 

Class C

#11 Holy Trinity (5-1)

#12 Stillwater (5-1)

#13 Mechanicville (5-1)

#17 Voorheesville (5-1)
