Class AA Football Scenarios

As we inch closer to the playoffs, the race for spots is coming down to the wire. Here’s a look at what every team can do. (Overall, League)

CBA (5-0, 5-0): Clinched playoff berth. Controls their own destiny. Winning out would give them the Empire Division title.

Guilderland (5-0, 4-0): Clinched playoff berth. They also control their own destiny. They need to beat CBA this week and win the next week against Shen to win the Empire Division.

Shen (3-2, 3-1): Needs to win one of final two games to clinch a playoff berth. They play Albany and then Guilderland.

Albany (2-3, 1-3): Can clinch by winning against Shen and Niskayuna, or by winning one of those games and having Ballston Spa lose one of their final two.

Ballston Spa (1-4, 1-3): Can make playoffs if they win over Niskayuna and Saratoga, and Albany loses one of their final two games.

Saratoga (1-4, 1-4): Cannot make playoffs.

Niskayuna (0-5, 0-4): Cannot make playoffs.

Troy (5-0, 4-0): Will win Liberty Division if they win out.

Shaker (4-1, 4-1): Needs to win out and needs Troy to lose out to win Liberty Divison.

Columbia (3-2, 3-1): Has already clinched playoff berth, cannot win division.

Bethlehem (3-2, 2-2): Needs to win one of their final two games to clinch a playoff berth.

Colonie (2-3, 1-3): Needs to win out, and needs Bethlehem to lose out to make the playoffs.

Schenectady (1-4, 1-3): Needs to win out, needs Bethlehem to lose out, and needs Colonie to lose at least one of their final two games to make the playoffs.

La Salle (0-5, 0-5): Cannot make the playoffs.
