Siena women’s tennis adds two for 2017-18

LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. -Siena Women’s Tennis Head Coach Jeff Osborn announced the signing of two to the program. The duo both enter Siena has three-star recruits.

“Kylie Mullaney comes to Siena and brings a very good academic presence to go along with her athletic abilities,” noted Osborn. “Kylie graduated high school as a Junior and will help Siena Women’s team maintain their very high team GPA this coming season. Kylie also comes to Siena College with the Highest UTR to date of any incoming freshman in Siena tennis history which is currently a 8.65. Kylie has been at IMG tennis academy since she has been in 8th grade and have played in very high level tournaments. She brings a very strong overall all court presence with a good serve and fierce forehand to go along with her very strong doubles abilities. I expect Kylie to compete for one of the top spots in the lineup her freshman season.”

Mullaney is a three-star recruit from Edina, Minnesota. Since the age of 12 she has been ranked inside the top-5 of every age division in her section. Mullaney has competed in either the zonal or intersectional team for the Northern District every year. She won the Sportsmanship Award at one of the events. Mullaney has always played at a national level, with her highest ranking being inside the top-50.

“Nanea signed in the early NLI period and will bring a great all around type play to the court with a fierce forehand and great volleys,” said Osborn. “She looks to move to the net and put away points, although she has a very small frame do not let that fool you. She brings a huge game and I expect her to compete for a starting spot in lineup from day 1 with a very talented Siena Women’s tennis team.”

Nanea Perkins is a three-star recruit from Kailua, Hawaii. She was ranked number 282 in the nation by tennis recruiting network and has a 7.7 UTR.
