Aaron Judge wins the 2017 HR Derby
Aaron Judge walked into the ballpark tonight with something to prove, and he left as the 2017 Home Run Derby Champion. The 6’8” rookie phenom completely dominated the competition tonight, hitting multiple home runs over 500 feet and peppering his home runs to every part of the ballpark.
He certainly lived up to the hype, and he brought the home run derby to another level. Often times, he didn’t even need all the time he was given to defeat his opponents. He seemed to never get tired, and even the swings that looked bad, still resulted in a home run.
This years home run derby was great. It had some REALLY long home runs, a father pitching to his son, and of course, the 8 vs. 1 upset that we saw in the first round.
Now, all we can do is wait. Wait to see if someone can dethrone the Judge next year in Washington D.C..
The MLB All-Star Game will take place tomorrow, Tuesday June 11th, in Marlins Park. First pitch is set for 7:30 PM/EST on FOX.
