Newest state football rankings released

On Wednesday, the New York State Sportswriters Association released their state high school football rankings. 12 Section II teams made the cut, and nine more were honorable mentions. Here they are!

Class AA

#1: Troy, 7-0

#20: Saratoga Springs, 7-0

#25: Shaker, 6-1

HM: Colonie (5-2), Shenendehowa (6-1)

 

Class A

#4: Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake, 7-0

HM: Queensbury (4-3)

 

Class B

#1: Glens Falls, 7-0

#8: Schuylerville, 6-1

HM: Cobleskill-Richmondville (6-1)

 

Class C

#10: Holy Trinity, 6-1

#11: Stillwater, 6-1

#13: Mechanicville, 6-1

HM: Chatham (5-2), Hoosick Falls (4-3), Voorheesville (5-2), Watervliet (6-1)

 

Class D

#2: Greenwich, 7-0

#5: Cambridge, 6-1

#17: Warrensburg-Bolton, 6-1

HM: Canajoharie/Fort Plain (6-1)
