Virginia man busted for DWI in Nassau

NASSAU, NY — Nassau Village Police on Friday arrested a 54-year-old Virginia man for allegedly driving while intoxicating on Church Street in the village.

Police say, Bruce Chinault, of Sanston, VA, crossed the roadway’s double yellow line. After a traffic stop, it was discovered that the man’s blood alcohol content (BAC) was 0.13 percent – 0.05 percentage points over the state’s legal limit of 0.08.

Chinault was processed and released on $200 police bail with traffic tickets to appear in Nassau Village Court on Nov. 14 at 6:30 p.m.
