Vandals Take Aim At Maple Hill

Schodack — Students at Maple Hill High School started their day off Thursday with a bit of excitement and drama following an incident that occurred overnight on school property.

On the exterior gymnasium wall facing South Schodack Rd, someone had spray painted “F*** MH (Maple Hill) Chatham Rules” in red spray paint.  This perhaps wasn’t the brightest choice in terms of color. Given that it is a red brick wall, the obscenity was hardly noticeable from a distance.

When the (what some might call) “street art” was discovered, the police were swiftly notified and are now investigating. The charge for vandalism of this nature is typically a misdemeanor and its punishments may include jail time and/or community service.  The vandal or vandals are also liable for any damages caused, possibly with a hefty fine on top of that.  Imagine it looks great on a college application!

While the pinhead or pinheads involved may never be brought to justice, one thing is for sure. Upcoming athletic events between the two schools ought to be interesting…

I think I’d pay money now to watch Chatham V Maple Hill in any sporting event this spring now 😂💪🏼🔥

The next match up for these two Patroon Conference powerhouses is set for May 2nd, when both the Maple Hill boys baseball and girls softball teams travel to Chatham.  As always, their games will be played simultaneously, with an approximate start time of 4:15pm.
