ValleyCats can’t get passed Renegades

Wappingers Falls — The Tri-City ValleyCats couldn’t add to their recent hot streak Saturday, falling to the Hudson Valley Renegades 5 to 1.

The ValleyCats managed to put up 6 hits, but were only able to get a single run across the plate.

Despite the loss it wasn’t all bad news for the Capital District, as Niskayuna native Garrett Whitley had an all-star outing against the team he grew up watching.  Whitley put up 2 runs, off 2 hits and drove in 2 runs.

The ValleyCats will battle the Renegades one more time(Tomorrow @Dutchess Stadium, 5:05pm) before returning to “The Joe” for an independents day matchup with the State College Spikes.
