UAlbany’s Nichols Selected as America East Co-Player of the Week

Albany, NY – After helping UAlbany slid past Siena in Sunday’s Albany Cup, David Nichols has been named America East (AE) Co-Player of the Week, the league announced Monday.

ForNichols, the award comes is his first-ever weekly honor from the America East, which he is sharing with Taylor Leissner of New Hampshire.

 This honor marks UAlbany’s second of the season, as fellow sophomore guard Joe Cremo earned AE Player of the Week on Nov. 14.

 In Sunday’s rivalry game against the Saints, the Chicago, IL native earned a career-high 29 points. He also added four assists and four rebounds in the game.

 Nichols and UAlbany have a quick turnaround, taking on Holy Cross on Wednesday, Nov. 30 at 7 p.m. at home.
