UAlbany’s Elijah Ibitokun-Hanks honored on STATS FCS All-America Third Team

ALBANY, NY – UAlbany standout running back Elijah Ibitokun-Hanks has been named a 2016 STATS FCS All-American, being placed on the Third Team.

The sophomore, at the end of the 2016 season, was fourth in FCS and first in the CAA with 1,401 rushing yards and fifth in FCS and second in the CAA with 16 rushing touchdowns.

The First Team All-CAA member earned FCS National Player of the Week once and CAA Offensive Player of the Week twice this season.

Ibitokun-Hanks led UAlbany to a 7-4 season and 4-4 tally in the CAA, including victories over FBS school Buffalo and FCS playoff team New Hampshire.  He helped UAlbany earn as a high as a #16 ranking in FCS.

Though his first two years of his career, Ibitokun-Hanks has earned 2,010 rushing yards and 18 rushing touchdowns.

Ibitokun-Hanks is one of 16 FCS All-Americans from the CAA.  The CAA had the most All-Americans in FCS play in 2016.  All 2016 FCS All-Americans were announced on December 20th.
