UAlbany’s Connor Fields named midseason All-American

 ALBANY — UAlbany’s Connor Fields has been honored as a 2017 Midseason First Team All-American by Inside Lacrosse, the publication announced on Wednesday.

The junior attack is the NCAA leader in points per game at 7.13 and goals per game at 3.88, also being third in assists per game at 3.25.

He stands with 57 points on the year off 31 goals and 26 assists, adding 15 ground balls.

Fields has earned at least three points in every game this year, including a streak of six straight contests with at least seven points.  He had a 10-point contest at Drexel off six goals and four assists plus an eight-goal day in a victory UMass Lowell.

Fields and the Great Danes take on Stony Brook on Long Island on Saturday, April 1st at 7 p.m.
