There were many intriguing and exciting games last night for Section 2 girls varsity basketball but one that especially stood out was the showdown between Colonie and Niskayuna. Both teams struggled offensively at the start, but then eventually picked it up. Despite Nisky’s D1 prospect Olivia Owens having 9 points, Colonie held on with even ball distribution and consistent scoring by a score of 38-31. Colonie’s top scorers were Aliyah Wright with 15 points, Erin Fouracre with 7 points, and Kyara Triblet with 4 points. The other scores around the capital region:
