Tuesday’s Section II boys basketball rundown

After an unscheduled day off on Monday, gymnasiums across Section II were packed for another fun and exciting night of high school hoops.

Here are Tuesday’s highlights:

Carter Stewart lead all scoring with 30 points for the Lions. Deonte Holder (also Mekeel) delivered 22 points.

Not a typo, the Patriots are the real deal this year. John Ryals scored 30 points and came in clutch down the end at the charity stripe. The 6’4″ senior has averaged 21 points per game, in the team’s last three outings.

Lansingburgh- 71, Schalmont- 53

Burgh seniors Tyler Rhoden and Jahidi Wallace combined for over half of the Knights points in the win. Schalmont’s Zach Ericson posted 17 points, but the Sabres were no match for a tough Lansingburgh team that will likely make a run at the Class A crown come March.

The Cadets avenged a halftime deficit, outscoring Ravena 15 to three in the third quarter. An all around team effort pushed them past the Indians.
