Top 5 greatest NBA Christmas Day games of all time

The NBA and Christmas go together like an ice cold glass of milk and an Oreo cookie; wich has been a holiday tradition for 69 consecutive years running. What began in the league’s second year of existence (1947) as a way to increase brand recognition, has turned into an event of epic proportions. For me, it’s the one time out of the year I actually watch pro basketball outside the playoffs in the Spring.

Historically, the NBA’s Christmas day slate has hosted many great games, but here are the top five best of all time. Special thanks to Fansided’s Brendon Kleen for compiling this list.

5. Brandon Roy (2009 vs. Denver Nuggets)

4. Dwyane Wade (2006 vs. Los Angeles Lakers)

3. Charles Barkley (1993 vs. Houston Rockets)

2. LeBron James (2010 vs. Los Angeles Lakers)

1. Bernard King (1984 vs. New Jersey Nets)
