Thursday’s 518 High School Hoops rundown

All things considered Thursday was a relatively slow day in the world of high school hoops. As a result, we’ve got you covered on both ends of the spectrum tonight.

Ladies first:

Heatly- 55, Loudonville Christian- 41

Heatly junior forward Kyra Oeffler lead all scoring with 23 points in the win for the Hornets. The junior forward is averaging 16.3 points per game and should be considered a threat to any team in Class D.

Emma Willard- 52, Hawthorne Valley- 10

For everyone’s sake let’s just move on to the next reported score.

Duanesburg- 50, Sharon Springs- 33

Cassidy Schaeffer’s 11 and Logan Smith’s 10 points got it done for the Eagles in an out of conference showdown.

South Glens Falls- 48, Queensbury- 28

Despite being matched point for point in the fourth quarter, Celyna Shaw’s game-high 11 points sent the Lady Bulldogs home with the W.

Scotia- 46, Gloversville- 42

A three-point play from Mary Kate Palleschi with two minutes to play pushed the Lady Tartans over the edge in this close Foothills Council contest. The junior center put up her best numbers of the year, scoring a season-high 13 points.

On to the gentlemen:

That’s all she wrote folks.
