Steelers assistant coach reportedly arrested outside Pittsburgh bar

Pittsburgh, PA — Joey Porter, an assistant coach with the Pittsburgh Steelers, was reportedly arrested outside a watering hole just hours after his team pulverized the Miami Dolphins, according to police.

The incident occurred around 9:30 p.m. Sunday when security guards at The Flats bar phoned authorities in regards to an “unruly customer.” Once they arrived, Porter was reportedly placed in the back of a police squad car.

Porter’s team told Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reporter Joe Rutter that they were “still gathering information” about the incident,

The Steelers are scheduled to travel to face the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday, at 1:05 p.m. in the AFC Divisional playoffs. It is unclear at this time if  Porter will or will not join the team for the game.
