SOURCES: Shen star Luke Hicks is done with the Plainsmen

Clifton Park, NY — If what we’re hearing is correct, the odds of Shenendehowa three-peating the Section II Class AA title just got a whole lot smaller.

Plainsmen senior guard Luke Hicks was not present in Friday’s home win over Troy, but the 6’4″ sensation may have played his last game in a Shenendehowa uniform. He’s “quit” the team; a close source told 518 Sports Saturday morning via text.

Hicks’ departure fits in line with language used by the program who told local media that it was unclear when or if he would return:

Speculation as to what did or didn’t happen could go on forever, but a Shen team without Hicks should make this year’s Sectional tournament very interesting.
