Search underway for missing Hudson Falls girl

KINGSBURY — The Washington County Sheriff’s Department has issued an Amber Alert is asking for the public’s help in locating a 12-year-old girl last seen in the Village of Hudson Falls Wednesday afternoon. 

Malaya M. Johnson, a student at Hudson Falls Middle School in Kingsbury, was seen leaving the school at the time of dismissal Wednesday. She was wearing blue jeans and a black hooded sweatshirt with pink lettering.

The Sheriff’s Department said Thursday they learned Johnson was seen after dismissal in the village. They believe she got in to a newer model Red Ford Mustang occupied with two Hispanic males inside. and may now be in Rockland County or New York City.
