ROUNDUP: Lake George boys’ basketball headed back to state championship game

BINGHAMTON, NY — For the third time in four years, the Lake George boys’ basketball team will appear in the Class C state Championship game, after beating Northstar Christian 65 to 49 in the semifinals Friday at Floyd L. Maines Veterans Memorial Arena.

“We’re incredibly excited; the old cliches will just come pouring out here,” Lake George coach Dave Jones told Will Springstead of The Post-Star. “Very proud of the guys. We worked hard for this, and just happy to be around for another day.”

The Warriors (21-5) will battle Moravia, out of Section IV, in the title game Saturday at 7:00 p.m. the contest will be televised across the state on Time Warner Cable, now Spectrum, Sports Channel. For live Twitter updates, follow Will Springstead @WSpringsteadPSV.
