ROTTERDAM — Police on Friday arrested a 20-year-old Schenectady man for allegedly having inappropriate contact with a 12-year-old child online, police said.
Marcus T. Laboy was charged with use of a child in a sexual performance, and disseminating indecent material to a minor – both felonies – and one count of endangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanor. He currently sits in jail in lieu of $40,000 bail.
Rotterdam Police said that a concerned parent alerted them of Laboy’s activities and with the help of the Schenectady police, the two agencies arrested the man.
The investigation is still on going.
