NYSSWA releases new state football rankings, features 13 Section II teams

On Wednesday afternoon, the New York State Sportswriters Association released their newest high school football rankings. Across the five classes, 13 Section II teams are ranked, while several others received an honorable mention. Here they are.

Class AA

#1: Troy (3-0)

#17: Shaker (3-0)

Honorable mentions: Colonie (3-0), Saratoga Springs (3-0)

 

Class A

#5: Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake (3-0)

#14: Queensbury (2-1)

Honorable mentions: Amsterdam (2-1), Averill Park (3-0)

 

Class B

#1: Glens Falls (3-0)

#6: Schuylerville (3-0)

Honorable mention: Cobleskill-Richmondville (3-0)

 

Class C

#4: Stillwater (3-0)

#8: Mechanicville (3-0)

#15: Holy Trinity (2-1)

Honorable mentions: Chatham (2-1), Hoosick Falls (2-1), Watervliet (3-0)

 

Class D

#1: Cambridge (3-0)

#4: Greenwich (3-0)

#18: Whitehall (3-0)

#19: Canajoharie/Fort Plain (3-0)

Honorable mention: Warrensburg-Bolton (2-1)
