MUST WATCH: Marquette King earns penalty for celebrating with flag thrown for roughing the kicker

In Sunday’s win over the Bills, Marquette King made a statement almost against the NFL even tho he was poking fun at the very thing that gave his team the W.

Following a roughing the kicker call against Buffalo’s Corey White – which extended the Raiders’ drive and pushed them to victory – King picked up the flag and celebrated with it, in a roundabout way protesting the call.

For that stunt King got a yellow hanky of his own thrown on the field, but it would not change the outcome of the game.

I’m all for player safety, but the NFL protects their kickers and quarterbacks entirely too much, often affecting the outcome of the game. It’s just not fair to anyone.
