Kelly O’Donnell to leave WRGB for job at Siena

Niskayuna, NY — In the span of 3 months WRGB, formally CBS 6, has seen its veteran sports director leave for a full-time gig with ESPN and now the station is set to say “adieu ” to its rising star, Kelly O’Donnell.  

O’Donnell, who came to the Sinclair owned station in 2008, will grace Capital Region airwaves for the last time nex Thursday, Jan. 19, Pete Dougherty of the Times Union, reported Wednesday. The Indiana native will start a new job the following Monday as associate director of marketing and communications at Siena College.

Siena has yet to formally announce O’Donnell’s hiring.
