INDOOR TRACK: Shen gets two more Titles and other local schools come up big at Sectionals

DIVISION I: Here’s a shocker. Shen won another (two) Section II Titles, this time in Division I boys and girls indoor track, the Troy Record is reporting.

On the boys’ side, the Plainsmen snook past rival Saratoga by just 12 points (114-102) while the high rollers from Bethlehem settled for third with 76 points. Shaker (64 pts) and Schenectady(62 pts) closed out the top five.

The Plainswomen outstormed, it’s a word I checked, the Blue Streaks by 52 points (171-119) while Shaker edged the rich kids from Delmar (Bethlehem) for third, 63-45. Guilderland closed out the top five with 52 points.

DIVISION II: Down in the wannabe relevant Division, it was the boys from Burnt Hills/Ballston Lake that took the title with a gentlemen’s 101. Columbia took second by the hair on their chinny chin chins, edging Averill Park 66-65. We’d give you the top five if we could, but for now, your guess is as good as mine. Coaches, please send final results to [email protected]. Thank you.

On the ladies side of things, it was the future CEO’s from Niskayuna who took the top spot, followed by Burnt Hills/Ballston Lake and nobody knows. Coaches, please send final results to [email protected]. Thank you.

DIVISION III: In the forgotten Division (D III), I think Scotia took the top spot, with Broadalbin-Perth finishing in second and Schuylerville coming in hot at third.

I don’t know what happened on the girls’ side. Coaches, please send final results to [email protected]. Thank you.

DIVISION IV: Wait this is a thing? The Hoosic Valley Indians took the top spot on the boys’ side and well here we are again. Coaches, please send final results to [email protected]. Thank you.

Greenwich took the top spot for the ladies with 102 points, followed by Maple Hill (62 pts), Rensselaer-Doane Stuart (55 pts), Fonda-Fultonville (54 pts) and Stillwater (49 pts).
