As the final games for the Suburban girls varsity teams before sectionals were played tonight, they showed in great performances and high drama ending the indeed thrilling regular season on a high note.  We start with Colonie who defeated Guilderland 47-36 avenging their early season loss to the Lady Dutch.  Colonie was led by Kyara Triblett who had 13 pts, and Ahnalese Pearson had 12 pts of her own off the bench.  Many of the Raider girls stepped up as star point guard Aliyah Wright was out with a finger injury.  Nicole Fyvie and Olivia Baumann led for Guilderland each with 10.

Averill Park easily beat Ballston Spa 68-28 and was led by Kathryn Stackrow who had 15 pts, Stephanie Jankovic 11 pts, and Kelsey Wood 10 pts.

Albany routed Schenectady 73-24 and Albany’s Mel Doutsis led all scorers with 23 pts.  10 different girls scored for Albany showing their great ball distribution and team chemistry.

Shen was victorious over Saratoga 53-42.  Cameron Tooley and Alexandra Tudor went off again as Tooley finished with 19 while Tudor had 17 herself.  Catherine Cairns and Kerry Flaherty both had 13 for the blue streaks but it wasn’t enough to dethrone the Lady Plainsmen.
