Hall of Fame Episode 2 with Siena star Nico Clareth

Nico Clareth absolutely tore up the MAAC last year. With his 13.2 points per game and ability to defend anyone on the court, I’m sure no coach wants to play him this year. Nico joined me on “Hall of Fame” this afternoon.

With that outstanding season came some national spotlight for Clareth, and he was even up for Mid-Major Freshman of the Year. Nico discussed what he put into last season and how much pride he took into being nationally recognized.

He discussed what it’s like playing against Joe Cremo, who plays for UAlbany and is a local to the Capitol Region.

In addition, Nico talked about the Albany Cup, which will be heading to SEFCU Arena for the first time ever, and also how the homecourt advantage helps his Siants in the MAAC Tournament.

Next, he gave an explanation as to why he celebrates on the court and he even discussed what his role model, Kobe Bryant, has done for him and how much he looks up to Kobe as a player and a person.

Lastly, he discussed who he enjoyed guarding/playing against the most last year in MAAC, so listen in to find out who he said!

Quote of the day from Nico, “Whoever is guarding me is gonna get destroyed that day…. whether it’s Joe Cremo or LeBron James”.
