Gloversville woman skates burglary charges, busted for DWI

BROADALBIN — Troopers were headed to the scene of a burglary-in-progress April 30 when they allege the suspect drove by their troop car and threw a beer can out her window, State Police said.

Troopers stopped 22-year-old Joslynn Christiano of Gloversville after matching her car with a description of the burglary suspect’s vehicle, State Police said.

While talking to Christiano, troopers said they noticed several containers of alcohol inside her car. The woman failed a standard field sobriety sobriety test, State Police said.

Before troopers took her to a station for processing, Fulton County Sheriff’s deputies arrived and said the burglary victim did not wish to press charges, State Police said.

Troopers later determined Christiano had a blood alcohol content of .15 percent, State Police said.

Christiano was ticketed for operating on a suspended license, driving while intoxicated and other violations. She will appear at 5 p.m. May 4. in Broadalbin Town Court.
