Friday’s Suburban Council girls basketball rundown

There were many big games throughout the capital region tonight for girls basketball.  Colonie had another strong performance with a 57-43 win over Mohonasen.  The Raiders point guard Aliyah Wright dropped 18 clutch points, and Erin Fouracre had 11 points.  Colonie had 9 different girls score showcasing their great ball distribution and effort.  Even though Saeeda Abdul-Aziz had 17 points, it wasn’t enough for the Warriors to pull out the win.  Coach Heather Fiore stated, “We played great and our execution was exceptional on both offense and defense… this one feels good.”  Some of the other scores:

Albany defeated Niskayuna by a narrow margin of 45-43 and saw a phenomenal 29 point performance by Imani Harris which countered Nisky’s Olivia Owens 24 point game.

Shaker cruised to an easy victory over Schenectady 65-25.  They had 11 different girls score and had solid performances from Shyla Sanford who had 18 points, and Sierra “CeCe” Mayo contributed with 13 points of her own.  Other finals:
