Turner Sports and CBS Sports have announced their commentary crews for their seventh season of dual coverage of the NCAA Tournament. The stations, among TNT and TruTV, will cover all 67 tournament games, calling for an all hands on deck effort.

Today, the stations announced the work assignments for the entirety of the tournament, and one former Capital Region sportscaster has made the list.

Andrew Catalon who served as WNYT’s lead weekend sports anchor for 9 1/2 years, left the station in 2013 for an opportunity to call college football and basketball games for CBS Sports. Among being the weekend anchor, Catalon also helped Roger Wyland out hosting WNYT’s “Big Board Sports” show. In the last years of his time at Channel 13, Catalon split his time between the two networks, commentating a handful of events, including many Connecticut women’s basketball games, and even an NFL game. Later this month, Catalon, a Syracuse University product, will be alongside Steve Lappas and Jamie Erdahl for an opportunity that every sports broadcaster hopes for, a chance to call a game in “the big dance”.
