FAST TAKE: Syracuse does not deserve a spot in the Big Dance

It’s the sad truth, but the Syracuse University men’s basketball team is not deserving of a spot in the NCAA tournament, informally referred to as March Madness by all the flat tires.

Here’s the thing, 18-14 is one step above a bad record and Cuse’ wouldn’t get a home game, which would be okay if they could win outside the Carrier Dome. Sadly, they couldn’t win a one man raffle outside the 34,446 seat arena, finishing with a record of 2 and 11.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know – the Orange have had their share of impressive wins this season, but making a buzzer-beating shot isn’t a big win. Passing a test by one point doesn’t mean you did a good job, but rather it means you got lucky. SU’s luck has run out.

If they get into the tournament, great. If not, wait till next year.
