Dodgers’ Twitter account hacked and then temporarily deleted

The Los Angeles Dodgers’ PR department got an early Christmas present Saturday when their Twitter account was apparently hacked by OurMine, the same group behind the hacking of Netflix’s and NFL Network’s accounts earlier this week.

The show began with a trio of Tweets which remained up for around 20 minutes telling fans to upgrade their security.

Following those Tweets, the hackers urged readers to make #DodgersHacked trend, before the account went offline around 3:55 p.m.

As of 7:22 p.m. EDT the account was back up and running as usual, allowing the team’s Twitter guy to be home for Christmas.
