Cremo notches another America East Player of the Week award

ALBANY — Scoring a a career high in points while shooting 67% from the floor is definitely eye-opening and should be recognized.

That is exactly what UAlbany junior guard Joe Cremo did the other night against New Hampshire. Cremo scored a career high 31 points while the Great Danes took out New Hampshire 83-74 last Saturday night in their annual Big Purple Growl game. Cremo also added six rebounds and three assists while going 11-14 from the free throw line to help lead UAlbany to victory in front of 3,831 screaming, die-hard fans.

In honor of this this achievement, earlier today Cremo was awarded the America East player of the week.  This is his third player of the week award this season and his fifth weekly award of his very much accomplished career so far. Cremo is averaging 17.4 points, 3.9 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game this season.

UAlbany will take on Vermont in the biggest and most important game of the year, Thursday, February 8, at 7 p.m. at the SEFCU Arena.
