Who would of expected going into week 5 Florida State out of the top 10 and Oklahoma unranked. College football has been crazy as of late but lets take a quick look at this weekends games and my picks.
#3LOUISVILLE V #5CLEMSON – Last thursday heisman hopeful Deshaun Watson and his clemson teammates faced Georgia Tech, and after throwing one interception Deshaun Watson looked solid and threw for over 300 yards and went 32-48 passing with two touchdowns in the win against Georgia Tech. But the offense was not the main focus of this game for Clemson it was there defense who held Georgia Tech to just 7 points, there defense ended the day with 1 interception, 3 sacks and even a safety. Lets talk about the Lamar Jackson show this kid has been unreal this season leading Louisville to a 4-0 start and even beating Florida State by 43 points. He has been responsible for more then 20 touchdowns and i dont think ive mentioned its only week 5!!. But Lamar Jackson hasn’t done it on his own. He has had the help of Wide Reciver James Quick and Running Back Brandon Radcliffe. The Cardinals defense has also been stellar holding teams to under 28 points in all of there games. Heres the queston can #3CLEMSON and there talented defense stop Lamar Jackson and his high scoring offense? my prediction 60-35 Louisville.
#4MICHIGAN V #8WISCONSIN – Another big shocker in the college football season are the Wisconsin Badgers who have defeated to AP10 teams in LSU and Michigan State, they havent dominated teams but they have played very well. The Badgers have been boosted with the help of there defense who held LSU and Michigan State to a combined 2o points and remember those two teams were both in the top 10 when they were defeated. On the offensive end there scoring has been mainly by Senior Running Back Corey Clement who has had 5 rushing touchdowns in 4 games. For Michigan they have had a great start to there season on both sides of the field whether its Junior QB Wilton Speight who in week one on his first possesion of the season threw an interception and after that he has thrown 9 touchdowns with no INTS and 875 yards and most of thpse touchdowns to Senior WR Amara Darboh and TE Jake Butt. On the other side of the field the Wolverines D and Special Teams have been led by Speedster Jabrill Peppers who has returned 2 punts for TDs and has 3 sacks and 30 tackles. Can Wisconsin stop Wilton Speight and #4MICHIGAN or will it be Corey Clement and the Badger Defense? my prediction 30-16 Michigan.
Sleeper Game- #11TENNESSEE V #25GEORGIA – The Volunteers have started all 4 of there games at home including the Most attended game in NCAA history at bristol speedway. The Vols have been led by Senior QB Joshua Dobbs although he has 5 INTS he also has 10 touchdowns, his offense has also had help from Running Back Jalen Hurd who has almost 400 rushing yards and 2 TDs. After a upsetting 31 points loss to Ole Miss, Freshman QB Jacob Eason looks to lead the Bulldogs to a big win. Can Jacob Eason lead Georgia to a big win after last weeks demolishing loss? my prediction 38-35 Tennessee in OT.
